A Faithful Friend

"A faithful friend is a strong defense and she who hath found such one hath found a treasure "
A friend is someone that is always there for you, and who always is there to get you out of trouble when you need it. Sometimes the two of you together can create some kind of mischief (the good kind). A real best friend will stick with you through thick and thin, no matter the situation. I can truly tell you what a best friend is because I have one. Every time one of us has man trouble, we always get together to discuss the problem and eat a tub of ice cream. Any time that one of us is having a bad day, we know that we can always call one another to make us feel better, and maybe get a better perspective of the day. We both know we can count on each other even if one of us ends up in jail at 3:00 a.m. to come and bail the other one out. My best friend and I have been friends for 20 years, and I wouldn’t trade the friendship for anything in the world.
One of our favorite pastimes is shopping. We always get together a couple times a year just to go shopping and to go out and eat. One weekend we went all the way to Ohio, just to go shopping. You can never tell about us, we do everything on the spur of the moment, and always game. One never knows what the day will bring, we should always cherish our family and friends. It’s never too late to start telling your loved ones how much they mean to you. If anyone has such a friend as I, that person is very lucky. I read somewhere that a person that does not have one true friend is a lonely person. I believe that is true, because I don’t think that a person can go through life without a friend. I couldn’t imagine my life without my friends, it would make for a miserable life. I’m just thankful that I have her as a friend. Through boyfriends, deaths, births and all the other things that life can throw our way, we have been each other’s true friend.

Children coming Back Home

Diann

BILL COSBY:
"Human beings are the only creatures that allow their children to come back home."
I can relate to this quote made by Bill Cosby. Birds and spiders throw their young out of the nest at a time when mom thinks these young will survive on their own or die. Animals teach their young the basics on how to survive in this world. Then the day comes mom says alright children I have taught you all I can to survive on your own now it is time to take the skills I tried to teach you and see if you can make it. Do animals think, while these babies are leaving, if you don’t make it I’m sorry? Do you think birds and spiders stay up late and worry and shed tears for her off spring? What about spiders do they worry about all those little creatures when she knocks them off the web? After they leave does she sit up late and wonder it they don’t make it are they going to return home? Would she think you didn’t listen to anything I tried to teach you and your not coming back to the web so I can teach you again! “Human beings are the only creatures that allow their children to come back home.”
Image if you can, raising these human beings and when you think they are ready you can push them out of the nest or brush them off the web. Never more to shed one tear or lose sleep at night worrying about these precious bundles of joy. Turn around and your life is your own again to do what you want to do. Fly to an exotic island. Relax read a favorite book. Do spring-cleaning and be able to sit down and enjoy your nice clean home for more than a day. You finally have the job of raising these children behind you and you can lay back and enjoy your life again. Wait there is a knock at the door!!!
You rise out of that recliner and back into reality. You reach for the doorknob. Slowly you open the door. Reality is staring back at you, smiling. Standing outside your
Door, is your oldest son David, and your middle child Chris, and you baby girl April. Bags, boxes, and suitcases begin to fill into your nice clean home. We can’t forget the short smiling little faces with all the toy trucks and baby dolls and boxes of children’s books. You are standing there with your mouth wide open and your hand is still cupped around the doorknob. There is a loud crash coming from inside your house. You jump and reality grabs a hold on you. You realize you are being invaded by these beautiful creatures called the love of your life- your children. The web doesn’t really get cleaned out, does it??
